VBS 2012

As I mentioned before, VBS was quite different for me this year.  First off not bringing any children to VBS and the second thing was not being in the classroom, and being in the Prayer Room.  I still was able to watch the beginning of the program where all the children are together.  They sing songs, say the Pledge to the Flags, Bible, say Bible verse of the week, and motto which is the theme of VBS this year.  They watch a short learning movie and have our church young actors do a short skit and
also they play a game, guessing what is their snack that day.
With all this happening, it still was very rewarding for me.  We also had a lot of stumbling blocks that took place.  Our Pastor of Pastoral Care, Dr Roy Farmer had surgery to remove a hernia.  Well, Roy is doing fine, we just pray that he takes it easy till the doctors tell him he can return to normal actives.    Roy is always there with VBS, Between Job Ministries as well as his Pastoral Care Ministry.   We just pray for his quick recovery.
Our other unexpected illness was one of our lady's, Sharon, that was in the kitchen getting snacks for all the staff and kido's ready, had a heart attack Tuesday evening and was rushed to the hospital.  She had 2 or 3 stents put in, was in ICU and Praise the Lord, is doing well.  She is doing so well that she was discharged from the hospital already and was at Church Service this past Sunday.
Well, even with our stumbling blocks, VBS went off without a hitch.  Even 4 children that we know of was saved this week....PRAISE THE LORD!!

The Power Of Prayer Is Amazing.......Keep Praying!!
