PILLSBURY OVER STUFFED STROMBOLI

Not only is this is a fast and easy recipe to make.....it is delicious too.  It is worth giving it a try.  My family just loves it!  




Ingredients


1 can Pillsbury® Grand Crescent Roll

1/4 cup whipped cream cheese 
1/2 lb fully cooked breakfast sausage 
1/4 cup light mayo
1/3 cup tomato sauce (your favorite sauce is great)
1/4 lb bacon (about 8 slices)
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper

1/4 cup chopped onions
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon parsley

1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb

Directions


Step 1

Pre-heat oven to 400°F. Lightly spray cookie sheet with cooking spray or foil pie pan.

Step 2


Microwave sausage about 45 seconds and bacon 2 minutes so that both are 1/2 way cooked, set aside.
Mix together cream cheese, mayo and seasonings, set aside
Unroll dough onto cookie sheet. Starting at center, spoon in cream cheese mixture onto the center of dough, spreading it up to 1 inch of edges. Add tomato sauce on top of cream cheese. Top with crumpled sausage and bacon. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese, onions, green and red peppers. Fold dough from each side over filling; press edges firmly to seal. Prick tops with fork to vent.


Step 3


Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand about 5 minutes.  Cut into 2 inch strips and serve.
