ALDI'S PRICES BEAT OUT OTHER STORE PRICES
Okay, I'm on a very tight budget and need to shop for best prices on my groceries. I got a card in the mail from Aldi offering $5 off with a $25 purchase. So John and I decided to check it out. Now I am a Kroger, Wal-Mart, Dollar Tree and 99¢ Store shopper. I go wherever there is the best prices and the greatest value. I'm not cheap, just frugal. You can see from the picture above all the groceries I bought for only $52.96. I took different angle shots because I couldn't get it all to fit in one photo.Aldi has name brand products and their brand as well. Their brand Cheerio's is only $1.69, I can't tell the difference, Their brand breakfast sausages only 99¢ and sorry Jimmy Dean, both my husband and I think they are better. John don't even like breakfast sausages, but he loved these, The quality of meat is great, fresh and lean. The produce is also fresh and much cheaper then the other stores, Examples are a bag of Red Delicious Apples $3.19, bananas 39¢ a lb, lettuce 99¢ a head, cucumbers 69¢ each, bag of baby carrots $1.29. This is just to mention a few items.
You must know prices of items. They don't carry all the items I get from Kroger or Wal-Mart, so we go to Aldi first and get all the cheaper items there. Whatever they don't have or the price is the same as Kroger, we will go to Kroger.
They keep their prices down by having less check outs. You would think you would then have to wait on long lines...but you don't. Like Sam's Club or Costco, they don't put your items in grocery bags. You bring your own bags and pack them away from the check out. This save a lot of time. They also don't except credit cards since credit card company's charge stores a service charge. They except debit cards and of course cash. One more thing to cut down on employees, to keep the food cost down for the customer is you have to put a quarter in the shopping cart to be able to unlock the cart from a chain. When you are done shopping, you return the cart to the chain of carts and you get your quarter back. That is really great, since you don't have to worry about shopping carts banging into your car...that's a plus. For people with a disability, they do have scooters THAT WORK GREAT!!
Well, all of the other stores are great, but Aldi beat out the other stores prices on most items. Below I attached pictures of this weeks Aldi' adds and see for yourself.
I don't get paid from Aldi or any of the stores I mentioned. I just thought that in this economy, we all need to save money, so I just want to share my views on a great place to shop and get the best value for your money.
I give Aldi CCC
