Italian Meatball Sub Casserole




Italian Meatball Sub Casserole


  • Frozen Italian Meatballs (small bag)
  • 1 loaf of Italian bread, cut into 4 large pieces
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened.
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  •  teaspoon oregano 
  • 1/4  teaspoon red pepper seasoning 
  •  teaspoon Mrs Dash Garlic & Herb
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 jar (28 ounce) pasta sauce (my favorite is tomato, garlic & onion)
Arrange bread in a single layer in an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish (might have to cut off the bread ends to fit baking dish). Combine the cream cheese, mayonnaise, oregano, red pepper seasoning, Mrs Dash, minced garlic and chopped onions; spread over the bread.  Place meatballs on top of cream cheese mixture.  Sprinkle with 1/2 cup mozzarella.

Pour sauce over cheese mixture; sprinkle with remaining mozzarella. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes or until heated through.  Serve with side salad. Makes 4 servings.
