Italian Meatball Sub Casserole
- Frozen Italian Meatballs (small bag)
- 1 loaf of Italian bread, cut into 4 large pieces
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened.
- 1/2 cup mayo
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Mrs Dash Garlic & Herb
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 jar (28 ounce) pasta sauce (my favorite is tomato, garlic & onion)
Arrange bread in a single layer in an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish (might have to cut off the bread ends to fit baking dish). Combine the cream cheese, mayonnaise, oregano, red pepper seasoning, Mrs Dash, minced garlic and chopped onions; spread over the bread. Â Place meatballs on top of cream cheese mixture. Â Sprinkle with 1/2 cup mozzarella.
Pour sauce over cheese mixture; sprinkle with remaining mozzarella. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes or until heated through. Serve with side salad. Makes 4 servings.
