What is The Holy Trinity & Why did God Give Us Free Will?

What is The Holy Trinity & Why did God Give Us Free Will?

Today a few questions was brought to my attention,"How can God be 3 people?" "Was others with God in Heaven?"  "Was Jesus always with God?" "Why did He give us Free Will?"

There is one God, but He is of 3 persons (The Holy Trinity)...God the Father, God the Son, which is Jesus and God the Holy Spirit.

The Beginning
"1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being." John 1:1-3 ... So Jesus was always with God from the beginning of time." But he continued, "You are from below. I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world." John 8:23... What all this means is Jesus was born on earth. To take form of a human in flesh so that He could teach the Truth/Gospel and to also save us since nothing we do could be good enough to save us since we are all sinners because we are born into sin.

Adam & Eve sinned by not obeying God and eating from The Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil. "17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat 4 of it you shall surely die.” Genesis 2:17 This does not mean that Adam and Eve died a physical death, but that they sinned against God, so they died a Spiritual Death. They became ashamed of what they did, so they hid from God. They became ashamed of they nakedness, so they covered themselves. They committed the first sin of man.

One trait of God is His that He is all-knowing. He knows what will happen for all of eternity. He even knows what will happen to you a minute from now which you don't have an idea of. That established, atheists and agnostics would argue that God, if He does exists, and He knows what will happen, should He have decided NOT to give man free will because He knows that they'll just use it to rebel against Him which will result to them going to Hell to pay for their sins. If He does exists then He must enjoy seeing people go to Hell?

First of all, the Bible makes it clear that God has no pleasure in seeing sinners die which lead them to eternal punishment (Ezekiel 33:11). He created man for His glory and for His pleasure (Revelations 4:11). Now here's a question... If you're God, will you derive pleasure from the "love" your created gives you if in the first place, you have programmed them like robots to give you love (they have no choice but to love you)? I believe that you'll agree that "love" that's not freely given is not true love. God had to give man a free will so that He can experience true love from His created so that pleasure is achieved. He wanted man to love Him willingly. Free will allows man to love God willingly. That's why God gave us free will.

But along with Free Will, you can choose to love God or Not....you can also choose to Sin or Not!  In the Old Testament Adam & Eve committed the 1st sin so all man is born into sin as I mentioned. He gave Moses the 10 Commandments. " And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God." Exodus 31:18 "And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai." Exodus 34:32

Again, atheists will say, if God knows all, He should know that the 10 Commandments people would not be able to follow. He did, but He needed people to know that they could never not sin on their own.

The old covenant here on earth demonstrated the gospel message by sacrificing the innocent lamb representing Christ dying for us, the guilty race. This forgave sin, but the record remained till judgment day when it was removed by the cleansing of the Sanctuary. Now today under the new covenant, we must enter above into God's holiest by faith alone and the blood of Jesus.

"For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." John 3:17 Now since we are all sinners, as I mentioned, Jesus had to die not only to take away our sins for all those who believe in Him, but to also release the Holy Spirit. "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.: John 14:26 This means that in John 16:7-15 Christ's departure was necessary to the Comforter's coming. Sending the Spirit was to be the fruit of Christ's death, which was his going away. His bodily presence could be only in one place at one time, but his Spirit is every where, in all places.

God is of 3 persons and they were with God from the beginning.  God gave us Free Will so we would choose Him freely.  God don't want us to be robots, being programmed to love Him since that is Not True Love.  God wants us and wants our True Love Freely.  Why not ask Him into your heart today and choose to love Him freely?  What are you waiting for.....tomorrow???? Tomorrow may be Too Late!

If you are ready to ask Jesus into your heart to be your Lord and Savior, you can pray a simple prayer like this to God.

Dear God,
know I have sinned and my sin separates me from You. I am sorry for my sin. I believe Jesus died on the cross for me so my sin can be forgiven. I believe Jesus rose from the dead and is alive. God please forgive me. I ask Jesus to come into my life and be my Savior and Lord. I will obey You and live for You the rest of my life, Thank You in Jesus' name I Pray.
Amen
