Pillsbury Grands Mama's Homemade Meatball Calzone

Ingredients:

9 pre-cooked crumbled meatballs
1 can Pillsbury® Grand
Biscuits

1 egg
1/2 cup ricotta cheese (can substitute ricotta for cream cheese)
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon oregano, basil, parsley, cilantro, onion
flakes, Italian seasoning, Mrs. Dash garlic & herb
1/4 cup tomato sauce (any flavor or brand)
1/2 cup flour

Directions:

Heat oven to 425°F.
(NO PRE-HEATING WITH THE FLAVORWAVE OVEN)

Pull biscuit dough apart from container. Place biscuits on floured plate and
split each one.  Now stretched them as much as you can and then place on baking pan. The flour will make it easier to stretch dough without sticking to your hands or plate.(6 split biscuits will give you a total of 12 biscuits.)  Press 3 edges together to form a seam. Do the same with the next 3. Now you will have 2 rows of 3 biscuits.  Set aside the remaining 6 split biscuits.

In medium bowl mix together all seasonings, ricotta & collage cheese.

In small bowl, crumble meatballs

Starting at center, spoon in ricotta and cottage cheese mixture onto the center of dough, spreading to within 1/2 inch of edges. Top each with crumbled meatballs and tomato sauce.

Take the remaining 6 split biscuits and place them on top pinching all around the edges.

In small bowl, beat egg with fork. Using a cooking brush, dip into egg and brush tops of dough. Now with fork, poke fork holes on the top of dough to let steam vent.

Bake for 30 minutes in oven until dough is completely cooked and golden brown. (Flavorwave oven, bake about 20 minutes)

I love my Flavorwave Oven...cooks faster then conventional oven and in the hot Summer, it don't give off a lot of heat in my kitchen.

This recipe serves 4-6 depending on portion size.  Enjoy!

With remain 3 biscuits, split apart and stretch, but don't press together. Place cheese mixture, meat and sauce on each one. Place tops on each separate one. Pinch seams. brush egg and poke holes.

Wrap each one separately with plastic wrap, place in marked and dated baggie pushing out all air and freeze.
