♥ HOMEMADE FRUIT CAKE LIKE YOUR GRANDMA USED TO MAKE ♥
Okay, a lot of people don't like fruit cake, maybe because they only tried store bought fruit cake or someone never made it right. So here is a recipe from my mother-in-law that you will truly love. Oh, eat fruit cake sensibility....don't eat and drive.....LOL.....
Ingredients
2 tablespoon Crisco
1 box (16 oz.) black raisins
2 cup sugar
2 cut water oz.
8 oz. Fruit Cake Mix
8 oz. Fruit Cake Mix
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped walnuts
3/4 cup rum
Directions
Preheat oven to 325° Grease well 2 loaf pans with Crisco. Set aside.
Bring to a boil everything except Crisco in large pot and reduce heat and
cook for 5 minutes. Take off heat and cool completely. Then add 3 1/2 cups of flour, one cup at a time and mix well. Bake until toothpick pierce center comes out clean, about 1 1/2 hours. Cool for about 20 minutes on wire rack. Turn pans over for fruit cake to come out. Completely cool before serving. Serve alone or with cream cheese. Enjoy!! ![]() |
