what I told him was about the pain and swelling in my knee and leg as you can see in the picture. The pain had gotten so bad that I even started taking my pain meds at night. That's when Dr. Elkousy referred me over to Dr. Matthews. He is a knee specialist and does knee replacements.
Well workers comp approved my appointment with Dr. Matthews. My appointment was this past Wednesday. I explained that the swelling went down some since my appointment with Dr Elkousy, but the pain starts in if I'm on my feet more then normal for me. He examined my knee and felt the looseness in it. He said that's why I loose my balance so easily. He told me the best bet that might help me is a knee replacement. I mentioned to him about the scoping and he said that would only remove any loose cartilage and I would have to have injections to relieve the pain. It wouldn't correct the problem. Therefore, I am scheduled to have the surgery, December 6th. I now waiting for approval from workers comp to go ahead and schedule the pre op for the surgery.
Well, that's it on my knee. I will keep you all posted on any new developments as they happen.
