♥ HOMEMADE FRUIT CAKE LIKE YOUR GRANDMA USED TO MAKE ♥
Okay, a lot of people don't like fruit cake, maybe because they only tried store bought fruit cake or someone never made it right. So here is a recipe from my mother-in-law that you will truly love. Oh, eat fruit cake sensibility....don't eat and drive.....LOL.....
Ingredients
2 tablespoon Crisco
1 box (16 oz.) black raisins
2 cup sugar
2 cut water oz.
8 oz. Fruit Cake Mix
8 oz. Fruit Cake Mix
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped walnuts
3/4 cup rum
Directions
Preheat oven to 325° Grease well 2 loaf pans with Crisco. Set aside.
Bring to a boil everything except Crisco in large pot and reduce heat and
cook for 5 minutes. Take off heat and cool completely. Then add 3 1/2 cups of flour, one cup at a time and mix well. Bake until toothpick pierce center comes out clean, about 1 1/2 hours. Cool for about 20 minutes on wire rack. Turn pans over for fruit cake to come out. Completely cool before serving. Serve alone or with cream cheese. Enjoy!! SERVE PLAIN OR..... |
