♥ SLOW COOKER SAUSAGE & GROUND BEEF LASAGNA ♥
1 lb Italian sausage
1 lb ground lean beef
1 can fire roasted tomato sauce
1/4 cup of chopped onion
1/4 cup of chopped green pepper
1/2 tsp. minced garlic, Oregano, Basil, Parsley, Cilantro and Mrs.Dash Garlic & herb

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (8 oz)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup ricotta or cottage cheese
10-12 uncooked lasagna noodles
1½ cups of water

Spray 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray.
In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook sausage and ground beef over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until no longer pink; drain. Stir in tomato sauce, chunky tomatoes, green peppers, onions, all seasonings and 1½ cups water.

In small bowl, mix 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese and the ricotta or cottage cheese. (Refrigerate remaining mozzarella cheese while lasagna cooks.)
Layer in slow cooker: 1/2 cup sausage/ground beef mixture and 2½ noodles, broken into pieces to fit. (More if needed)

Cook, covered, on Low heat setting 4 to 5 hours, or high setting 2-3 hours or until noodles are tender.
Sprinkle top of lasagna with remaining 1 cup mozzarella & cheddar cheese
Let stand until cheese melts.
